The most obnoxious tree that makes noise on movement and wiggles around with eyes moving and mouth opening etc etc. It was so great that I now own 2 of them for entertainment..

This was an actual Madison Avenue ad that ran for this doctor for several months in the New Yorker Magazine.

RUMPLER1

This was in 1972, during my 1st year at ASU, but after I had had a major haircut. Please note the shoes, since they are saddle shoes. Now, I have to admit, there weren’t too many longhairs wearing saddle shoes back then. The rather rotund fellow on the left was my room mate first semester; second semester I moved out because I wanted my own (and clean) space. I was a winner; Mr. Rumpler got something around a 0.04 GPA his first year and was encouraged to take a year off to reignite those intellectual nodes of the noggin.

Maurice Bishop ran a barber shop in St. Joe briefly. He gave the best haircuts - he had a delicate sense of what the kids wanted vs. what the parents would accept. He was a great person. His involvement with the SCLC (I’m pretty sure that was it) resulted in his picture window being repeatedly broken in his Main Street shop, just blocks from the police station.

Maurice was a winner. Can you “Lycos” Maurice Bishop IRS and see what your favorite search engine says?
