Ok, here are some rants about the September ‘08 economics lesson we are all getting:
1. If banks get so large that there are only 5 of them around the globe, we are putting a lot of eggs into a few baskets.
2. If greed for today overshadows looking out for the economic future of a company, why should we bail them out?
3. The Ryan Household would like an influx of 3.5 billion dollars to maintain solvency and to allow us to pay out those who would immediately leave.
5. Let the chips fall where they will -
4. Clearly it is all Bush’s fault - thank god he is a Harvard Business Master, eh?
6. Let’s hear how Sarah P. would ‘fix’ it.
What can I say? Man has totally screwed up the planet. Our ability to travel around the globe in hours has permitted invasive species to do the same; man is spreading like some infectious process, and apparently the Matrix was right in comparing man to a virus.
That said, it looks like New York is going to have to build a big wall if it wants to keep dry. Michigan will be dry, as will Arizona where I hope to be. Greenland will melt and Iceland will too. Polar bears will die off, because fish are gone because man has gotten good at netting to the bottom of the ocean. We are so smart that we are getting into a situation we won’t be able to survive. Having said all that, let’s look at our world today...
Did you know Anna Nicole Smith died? Well, it is true, and it is not clown-funny either.
