Blackbud died recently. He was truly an incredible cat - he liked riding in cars, he fetched. He was the most friendly cat I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Here are some pics:

He was incredible, and he will be missed but remembered very fondly indeed. Thank you Blackbud for being with us and giving som much joy to our home.

Blackbud II (Blackbud) entered our home on October 21, 2007. He is such a cool cat, very funny. He chases things and plays catch with them. He howls out the window when he is all alone. He loves people, and loves attention and gives back every bit as much as he takes.

After Blackbud died, and after we had grieved a lot, we went out and got a new cat. We refer to him as Blackbud II, or simply Blackbud.

He is the funniest cat. He is a “people” person - he loves anyone and everyone. He plays catch with toys. He annoys the other cats. He wears a collar with a bell to let the other cats know where he is. He jumps into places without having a clue what he is jumping into.

We had a bat in the house and Blackbud caught it, so now he is forced to stay inside the house all the time, lest he give the mailman or a squirrel or a robin rabies. He is in his furious stage now, but has been in it since he got here, so we can’t see a difference.

He plays fetch with things. He barks like a dog. He loves strangers. Molly says he is a dog and Maureen agrees. I think he is just an idiot savant or has hamburger’s syndrome or something like that.
