7-09 : Bush. Cheney. Hate.

I went to Cuba just after Bush became President $43.

He came from a background of hard work, military service, and business acumen.

He graduated from two distinguished institutes, one of which may have the head of Geronimo.

He had friends just like you and I do. Lots of those friends live in Michigan, around Grand Rapids, like maybe your friends might. Examples of his good friends seems to include without any limitation whatsoever:

Dick DeVos, for several years the largest contributor to the Bush/Republicans. In the nation.

Dick DeVos Jr, who ran a terrible campaign and lost to Governor Granholm. His wife was head of the Michigan Republican Party for quite a while during the early Bush years.

Erik Prince’s wife, the daughter of Dick DeVos. Can you say “Wednesday is Prince Spaghetti Day”? Same family. Union of two empires (Amway/Prince). A touch of bux there, eh?

Peter Sechia. Sechia is an interesting case. Several years ago he had the business acumen to be the only one showing up in the middle of the night to bid on a piece of property downtown, AND he was able to bid a price much lower than the long-term leases that were going to be signed several minutes after closing, to the County of Kent (FOC, Pros. office) which all in all meant that for the price of a signature he got a great return on his investment.

Kelloggs/Gutierez/Cheney/Haliburton - need I say more?

Blackwater, owned by Erik Prince (mentioned above).

So, the first half-year it was the “7/24” philosophy of working 7 hours a week 24 weeks a year. Then came 9/11. After completing his reading lesson to some kids in Mississhippy he got into an airplane and hid out for some time. Then he came out, mentioned snakes hiding in caves, told people to go shopping, and began discussions on how to complete the mission his father had not completed - get Sadam.

Before getting him, though, we had to take over Iraq, which we accomplished in short order. Then we let looters roam the streets because we are not police but military, and then got no-bid contracts from Halliburton for food, etc. Then we needed a private army to protect important Americans, so we hired Blackwater on a no-bid/no liability basis. Was Guiterez helpful in getting contracts there?

One of 43s greatest faults was his refusal to let bad news out. Because it got out. Later. After it looked like it had been hidden. Examples? Waterboarding; Mission Accomplished; Abu Grave or however it is spelled - you know, the hooded guy on a bucket with wires running all over? So, how did 43 get elected to begin with? Simple. A one-word answer. Easy to see and figure out. Lying. Saying whatever you might think the hoi poloi might want to hear. Even if you had no intention of following through.
